John 17:21~that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me
I have been just enamored by this verse and this concept now for about 3 weeks. Being thrown into a complete stupor about how, with whom, and when.... Is God faithful or isn't He? Do you think the Father would honor such a prayer? Doesn't it say in the book of Peter that God does not desire that ANY should perish? If God's heart is that none should perish, wouldn't this prayer just be a power house home run hit for success in order for salvation to come to the lost.......??
Here's what I mean. If we are one in Christ......the verse states....That the world, (because of our oneness) would have the ABSOLUTE assurance to have the chance to believe that "for God so loved the world that He sent His Son into the world. Isn't that what this verse is saying. UNITY is vital. You can not have a light bulb disassembles into the four or so pieces that make it up, and expect it to shine right? How is the church any different? One of the things that has absolutely amazed me about this call to Mexico...Is the people that are supporting us. They are believers. Period. No one can put a denomination on it, nor a non-denomination on it. It is the Work of Christ flowing through His people to Mexico. It is done by Him, through Him, and For Him....Every cent, every breathe, every thought. Christ be magnified. That's rare, and humbling on this end of things.
I have heard people say before......But is unity even possible? I will state this brothers and sisters and I hope it makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck...... Is it possible? NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH CHRIST. He prayed it, and brothers and sisters since the Resurrection of our Lord....It has never been a question!!! HIS FATHER ANSWERED HIS SON'S PRAYER! The Body is unified. From the jungles of Vietnam, to the snow banks of Russia, to the mosquito filled pews in Peru, to the stain glass windows of North America, to the Cobble stone streets of the Netherlands...The church IS flawless in unity. I believe that one hundred and thousand percent! Christ did not falter even an inch in become the head of the church......So what......Is he just some floating head drifting through time..Hoping people get a sniff, and jump on board! How dare we think of our powerful Majestic King in that fashion! Take a look at this.......

THE CHURCH BEING OF CHRIST
Genesis 2 shows us that God took a rib from Adam and made Eve out of it. This typifies the relationship between Christ and the church. Just as Eve came out of Adam, the church comes out of Christ. God made Eve out of Adam. Likewise, He created the church out of Christ. God gave us not only the grace, power, and nature of Christ, but He also gave us the Body of Christ. God has given us His bones, His flesh, and Himself, even as He gave Adam's rib to Eve. What then is the church? The church comes out of Christ. The Bible shows us that Christ is the Head of the church and the church is the Body of Christ. Individually speaking, every Christian is a member of the Body of Christ and comes out of Christ. There is one thing we must take note of: The Body of Christ is on earth, but it is not earthly. It is heavenly, yet it is on earth. When Saul was persecuting the church, on his way to Damascus, the Lord Jesus asked him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" (Acts 9:4). The Lord's word was quite strange. He did not say, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting My disciples," but "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" He did not say, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting My church," but "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" This showed Paul that the church and Christ are one. The church is one with Christ, so much so that when a man persecutes the church he is persecuting Christ. This shows us also that the Body of Christ is on earth, because no one could persecute it if it were in heaven. The Body of Christ is on earth. Therefore, Paul could persecute it. Because the Body of Christ is the church on earth, Paul's persecuting of the church was his persecuting of the Lord Himself. Many people say that the manifestation of the Body of Christ is something that will occur in heaven. They say that one has to wait until he is in heaven before he can see the manifestation of the Body. If this were the case, Paul's persecution of the church could not have been considered as his persecution of the Lord. The Lord said that Saul persecuted Him when he persecuted the church. Therefore, the Body of Christ is manifested on earth, not in heaven. The church as the Body of Christ is on earth. We have to express this Body while we are on earth. Although the Head is in heaven, the Body and the Head are one. The Body on earth and the Head in heaven are one. To persecute the Body is to persecute the Head. To persecute the church is to persecute the Lord. The two are one, and there is no way to separate them.
We are unified! We are one. We submit to Him like a wife to her husband. He is leading and pumping His will through our being, because His heart is behind our life! We can do nothing apart from Him! If we have no head we are nothing but a corpse! If we are not working together...We are death! The smell of rotten corpse playing GAMES! A stench to the world, and a drunken queen, pretending we belong to the king! The World will know that God has sent the answer of eternity...How being one. One mind. One Heart! ONE PURPOSE...... Not just a jumble of make shift "ministries"...Floating around in the craig's cruiser's water...BUMPER BOATS..... Playing Games! We are united Family! And when we are together.... THE LIGHT BULB SHINES CLEAR IN THIS DARK AGE!!! PRAISE YOU HEAD!
